Famed Actor/Comedian Enters Rehab
After nearly 20 years of sobriety, Robin Williams, 55, has entered rehab for alcoholism to finally kick the habit.
After announcing Williams’ intentions on Wednesday, his publicist reported that “[Williams] looks forward to returning to work this fall to support his upcoming film releases.” In addition to “The Night Listener,” which opened last week, Williams has three movies pending release to theaters this year.
Once he found himself drinking again after two decades of sobriety, William’s decided that he needed to quit for the sake of his well-being and the well-being of his family, his publicist reported. Shooting to fame as the beloved star of “Mork and Mindy” in the 1970’s, William’s has received several Academy Awards Nominations for later works.
