Let’s get Betty White on Glee!

A grassroots Facebook campaign worked wonders in getting the Golden Girl alum signed up for her first hosting gig on Saturday Night Live, now the voices of social networkers is moving onto a new campaign — and this time they’re hoping to have America’s Devilishly Funny Grandma guest star on FOX’s award-winning musical comedy.

On Tuesday, Betty fans joined forces to create a page of supporters screaming to see the comedienne tickle our funny bones on a upcoming episode of Glee. Within hours, the page already had nearly 200 members — and the number keeps growing.

It’s all a part of a plan to encourage FOX to offer Betty a shot on the smash show that’s already featured appearance by stars like Eve and Olivia Newton-John.

“Want Betty White to guest star on FOX’s hit dramedy GLEE? ‘Like’ this page and we’ll let FOX know! Glee starts filming season 2 in July, so we need to move fast. Share this page with your friends and let’s get Betty White in contract negotiations for Glee :),” the site’s mission message reads.

The “Betty White on Glee” Movement came just hours after a similar group — this one campaiging to have White host next year’s Academy Awards — emerged on the networking website.

Following White’s critically acclaimed performance on SNL last weekend, yet another Facebook campaign sprung up to get the comedienne signed as a co-host for the Primetime Emmy Awards.

The six-time Emmy winner is living proof that senior citizens are Hollywood’s new celebutante. At 88, Betty has no intention of slowing down and, if her standing ovation-inducing performance on Saturday Night Live last weekend is any indication, she’s just getting better -– and funnier -– with age.
