Everest is a unique film that features a slew of stars attempting to make the perilous journey to the top of Mt. Everest. It features one of the most impressive casts imaginable and looks like an adventure that will be fun to experience on the big screen.
With the amazing visuals that one can imagine with a trip up Mt. Everest, it is no surprise that director Baltasar Kormákur decided to shoot the film in IMAX 3D, creating a unique type of film that is not seen often.
It is a scary adventure to even imagine making the journey as everyone knows and with the help of it being shown in IMAX theaters, audience members will be able to feel like they are a part of it.
The Everest trailer makes the film feel incredibly exciting and it is packed with stars including Jake Gyllenhaal, Jason Clarke, Josh Brolin, John Hawkes, Michael Kelly, Robin Wright, Sam Worthington, Keira Knightley, and Emily Watson.
“I have kids. If they see a regular guy can follow impossible dreams, maybe they’ll do the same,” says John Hawkes’ Doug Hansen when asked why he is doing the journey. They are all on a bus together prior to the trip and in the film, two teams are attempting to reach the summit.
The film is based on true events and tells the story of one of the most violent snowstorms ever recorded. The members of the teams are there for each other with courage and support and it is a tale of hope and survival that you will not want to miss.
The adventure of Everest will be released in theaters on September 18th. The film was shot on location in Nepal on the foothills of Everest, the Italian Alps and at Cinecittà Studios in Rome and Pinewood Studios in the U.K.
