“I have kids. If they see a regular guy can follow impossible dreams, maybe they’ll do the same,” says John Hawkes’ Doug Hansen when asked why he is doing the journey. They are all on a bus together prior to the trip and in the film, two teams are attempting to reach the summit.

The film is based on true events and tells the story of one of the most violent snowstorms ever recorded. The members of the teams are there for each other with courage and support and it is a tale of hope and survival that you will not want to miss.

The adventure of Everest will be released in theaters on September 18th. The film was shot on location in Nepal on the foothills of Everest, the Italian Alps and at Cinecittà Studios in Rome and Pinewood Studios in the U.K.
