Agents for actress Evan Rachel Wood are reportedly desperate to win back a number of film roles the Thirteen star turned down to work on the currently stalled Broadway musical Spider-Man.

Evan had been cast in the role of Peter Parker’s true love Mary Jane Watson in the new production opening early next year, but rumors are abundant that the stage show is in financial trouble and work has been suspended as producers at Hello Entertainment come up with ways to fund the project.

According to The New York Post, Wood, 21, will not be part of the line-up when the musical resumes production. Evan reportedly turned down several lucrative film roles to commit to Spider-Man, but now that show appears to be in trouble, she wants those gigs back.

“As far as they’re concerned, it’s over. She’s available for other work.”
