Desperate Housewives actress Eva Longoria can summon tears when quizzed too closely about the abrupt end of her three year marriage to San Antonio Spurs hoopster Tony Parker.
Longoria and Parker called it quits in November. As the story goes, Eva took a peek into Tony’s personal phone and found hundreds of sexts between her then-husband and Erin Barry, the estranged wife of one of his former teammates. Erin was also a friend of Eva’s. Their divorce, Eva’s second, was finalized last month and the petite Latina has since hooked up with spicy Spainard Eduardo Cruz (the baby brother of Oscar winner Penelope…), but she says talking about the breakup is borderline devastating.
“It’s been—every time I talk about it, I want to cry. It’s been hard. Very hard. I’m just trying to get through it as gracefully as possible without any drama,” Eva tells the mag, which goes on sale nationwide March 22.
Longoria, who turned 36 on Tuesday, is now having to “find new patterns” in life because she’s used to spending her free time watching her sportsman hubby on the court.
“I’m in a transition stage, settling into a new routine, and I welcome it.”
Eva, who counts former Spice Girl Victoria Beckham and reality TV star Kim Kardashian as friends, credits the women in her life with getting her through the difficult times.
“You know, some people collect plates and stamps and coins. I collect people, I collect amazing, smart, interesting women,” she says.
