“Grey’s Anatomy’s” Eric Dane Rehabbing For Addiction To Painkillers

This is one MD who won’t be making any house calls anytime soon: Seattle Grace’s own Dr. McSteamy has checked into rehab…

Reps for actor Eric Dane, who portrays sexy surgeon Mark Sloane on ABC’s award-winning medical drama Grey’s Anatomy, has entered an undisclosed treatment clinic to battle an addiction to painkillers.

“Actor Eric Dane voluntarily checked himself into a treatment facility to help him get off of pain medication that he was prescribed for a sports injury that he suffered over the recent hiatus,” Dane’s spokesfolks said in statement this afternoon.

Despite his rehab stint, Eric is expected back at work on his hit series as early as Thursday.

“He reports back to work this week. Business as usual,” the statement continued.

The actor and wife former Noxzema Girl Rebecca Gayheart are expecting their second child. The couple – who wed in 2004 – already have a one-year-old daughter, Billie Beatrice, together.
