Emma Watson has blasted reports she will attend college at Connecticut’s prestigious Yale University.

The Harry Potter actress has denied she wrote “I got into Yale!” on her Twitter page earlier this week. In fact, Emma says she doesn’t even have an account on the social networking site.

“There have been several rumours spreading recently that Emma has accepted a place at Yale University after ‘telling her fans via her Twitter account. Emma does not have a Twitter account and these rumors are false. Emma is still trying to decide whether she wants to attend university in the UK or the USA and hasn’t accepted any placements at this time,” a rep for the 18-year-old Brit said in a statement on Thursday.

Emma, best known for her role as Hermione Granger in the Harry Potter film franchise, will begin her freshmen year of college in the Fall, after taking a year off to travel.

“I’ve applied to a few universities for next year, including several American ones. If I do go there I will do a liberal arts degree, but if I stay in the UK I’ll do English Literature,” the actress said last October.
