’Harry Potter’ star Emma Watson has been left terrified by a stalker.

The sixteen year old actress, who plays Hermione Granger in the hit films, was left petrified when the man confronted her after turning up at her school.

Police were immediately called and Emma – who is studying to go to college- was given a bodyguard until officers had taken away the stalker.

“The man was an over-zealous admirer, and when he found out there were open lectures at Emma’s school, he attended them,” a dishing source says.

“Emma was very alarmed when he approached her and started talking to her about the Harry Potter films.”

Though police warned the twenty-something year old man, and there have been other incidents since.

“Although her safety is her priority, she will try not to let this affect her normal life,” says Emma’s friend.

Meanwhile, it has been revealed Emma will not be appearing in the final two ‘Harry Potter’ movies – because she is tired of the role.

Emma has reportedly told movie bosses she no longer wants to play Hermione as she is keen to take on other challenges, and producers are now frantically searching for a new actress.

Rupert Grint, who plays Harry’s best friend Ron Weasley, said: “Emma doesn’t
want to do it any more. She’s tired of being known as ‘that girl from Harry
Potter’.”
