Emma Watson is heading to The Big Apple to further her education. The 19-year-old actress — best known for her role in the Harry Potter film franchise has reportedly enrolled at Columbia University under an assumed name.

In a recent interview with the July issue of Teen Vogue, Emma insisted she wanted to keep her student life as “private” as possible and would not publicly announce where she planned to study. “I probably sound like a paranoid nut, but I’m doing this because I want to be normal.”

Emma is taking a break from acting to study English Literature and was reportedly accepted at a string of the world’s most prestigious institutions, including the Ivy League’s Yale and Harvard, as well as Britain’s respected Cambridge University.

According to The Independent, the actress has changed her name to avoid detection and will enroll as Charlotte E. Watson instead of her given name Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson when the fall semester begins in August.
