Ellen DeGeneres — who juggles fronting an Emmy-winning daytime talk show with her duty of helping the nation find the next star of tomorrow on American Idol — has inked a deal with Grand Central Publishing to pen her third book.

DeGeneres’ latest tome — set to hit shelves this fall — will feature “a look at her life through her humor.”

“I found that between my talk show, American Idol and my late-night blogging, I didn’t have enough ways to express myself.”

Her first two books – The Funny Thing Is and My Point…And I Do Have One — were New York Times best sellers.
