Dancing in the stands may soon become a thing of the past on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. Producers of the multiple Emmy Award-winning daytime talk show are considering pulling the plug on Ellen’s fancy footwork after an audience member experienced heart problems while dancing during El’s opening monologue and threatened to sue the show.

“Ellen doesn’t want anyone to get hurt, but she thinks the show has been so successful because of the fun vibe they hae created-and the dancing is a huge part of that,” a show insider revealed to Star Magazine.

“It gets everyone up, moving and laughing. Without that crazy atmosphere, it’s just like every other talk show.”
