ELLE Magazine And Jaunt Partner To Capture First-Ever Virtual Reality Fashion Experience With The Voice’s Jacquie Lee
ELLE Magazine and Jaunt, the technology company building the hardware and software to make truly immersive cinematic virtual reality (VR) possible, have partnered up to capture the first-ever virtual reality fashion experience. We get a chance to take a step into the future and fashion’s next dimension with 350-degree-behind-the-scenes immersion at ELLE’s fashion shoot.
This new technology gives us access to a one-of-a-kind experience through Jaunt’s app on Google Play for Google Cardboard and Android phones, ELLE and Jaunt’s collaboration marks the first time a fashion shoot has ever been captured in cinematic VR.
And who is the first to experience this VR experience? 17-year-old artist/songwriter Jacquie Lee, who won over America on NBC’s The Voice as runner up on Team Christina last year. Jaunt captured every moment of Lee’s fashion shoot with the state of the art technology using their proprietary 360-degree, stereoscopic 3D cameras and 3D sound-field microphones. Max Vadukul and the styling team worked with Lee and as she gave an impromptu performance of her hit debut single, Broken Ones.
“Fashion is an experience, and in working with ELLE we’re able to bring a whole new meaning to that,” said Jens Christensen, CEO of Jaunt. “We’re creating an entirely new entertainment medium with cinematic virtual reality, and we’re working with the most innovative and creative content producers to =bring it all to life. Elle had true vision in creating this experience with us for their audience, and we’re excited to have made the first-ever-virtual reality fashion shoot along.”
