Sheesh, anyone in the market for a bodyguard? University of New Mexico soccer player Elizabeth Lambert has become an Internet celebrity after kickin’ ass and raising all kinds of Hell on the field yesterday. The junior defender was suspended indefinitely on Friday for infractions she incurred during the team’s 1-0 loss to Brigham Young University in a Mountain West Conference semifinal game on Thursday, ESPN.com reports.

Watch as Liz assaults players from BYU in a variety of ways during the now infamous game. She’s such an effin’ lady.

On Friday, Elizabeth apologized to UNM and BYU for her actions.

“I let my emotions get the best of me in a heated situation. I take full responsibility for my actions and accept any punishment felt necessary,” Lambert said in a statement. “This is in no way indicative of my character or the soccer player that I am. I am sorry to my coaches and teammates for any and all damages I have brought upon them.”

She continued, “I am especially sorry to BYU and the BYU women’s soccer players that were personally affected by my actions. I have the utmost respect for the BYU women’s soccer program and its players.”

The coaches for this team should be fired for letting such a person represent their school. The ref should be fired for letting her get by with her behavior, any one of her actions should have had her kicked out of the game.
