The E! Network is ready to pull the plug on Denise Richard’s unscripted series. The network is considering closing the curtain on Denise Richards: It’s Complicated after the reality show took a nosedive in ratings since its premiere in May.

“Denise has turned into an unappealing reality star,” a spywitness tells Star. “The numbers started out pretty good-just over 1.5 million people tuned into the premiere episode. But the audience dropped out.”

E! suspects the audience has been disenfranchised with the former Bond Girl since the televised “Fuck, Cunt” rant, in which Denise featured cursing out a magazine editor who had written an unflattering article about her. E! was inundated with e-mails from furious former fans.

“Viewers were disgusted that a mother of two young girls would use such foul language.”

Bosses at the basic cable entertainment channel have decided they would much rather throw their money into Pamela Anderson’s reality show, Pam: Girl on the Loose, which debuted to a modest audience last Sunday night.

E! thinks Pam’s show has “legs in more ways than one and could really be a megahit for them.”
