Dustin Lance Black Image Removed Due To Court Order

Dustin Lance Black, the Oscar-winning writer of the 2008 biopic Milk, has released a statement on the leak of several intimate photos leaked to the internet last week.

The leaked photographs, reportedly sent to agency Starzlife, depict DLB in a series of sexual positions with another man. The agency is also claiming to be in possession of a video of the two together.

In a statement to E! Online, Black has insisted the photos — reportedly taken in 2006 — were meant to be kept “private” and that the incident was “unfortunate.”

“It is unfortunate that individuals and other outside parties are trying to profit from material which is clearly private. I have had the privilege to speak to people across the country, both gay and straight, on a number of critical issues including safe sex,” the statement read.

“More important than the embarrassment of this incident is the misleading message these images send. I apologize and cannot emphasize enough the importance of responsible sexual practices.”
