Dr. Phil First Appearance On “Oprah” In 7 Years (Sept. 17)
Dr. Phil McGraw is scheduled to appear on The Oprah Winfrey Show for the first time since launching his own daytime talk show under Winfrey’s Harpo fold in 2002.
“Tell It Like It Is Phil” will join the cast of Oprah’s 24th season premiere week Thursday, Sept. 17.
Expect Dr. Phil “set the record straight” and “bring viewers the story of a woman whose father is a serial killer,” according to a show press release.
Winfrey’s premiere week will also feature two days of Whitney Houston (Sept. 14 and 15), a show honoring the late Michael Jackson (Wednesday) and show live from New York, featuring Mariah Carey and Live! hosts Regis Philbin and Kelly Ripa (Friday).
