“As we go on the air, Dr. Adams, who arrived a little late, is in the green room with his attorneys talking to our producers,” Larry told viewers. “Dr. Adams apparently received a letter from the family of Donda West that if he were to go on the air … they would ask the California Medical Board to decertify him. We’ve said to him we’ll discuss things other than Donda West in regard to him and his medical practice. I’ll let you know as soon as we know.”
Jan then appeared on-camera and said, “I have a tremendous amount of love and respect for the West family and they’ve asked me not to go on. I’ve said from the beginning, I don’t have a side in this. They are my side. So I’m going to respect their wishes. I’m going to apologize to you because I don’t want to take up your air time, but I will not be on the show and discuss any of that. … I’m going to honor their wishes …”
Larry said, “How will you ever answer any of the questions? Where does this go?”
Jan: “I’ll talk to them. When they’re comfortable, I’ll be comfortable. If they’re never comfortable, then I’ll never be comfortable. They are what’s important to me.”
Larry: “Don’t you want to speak out?”
Jan: “No.” Larry: “You don’t wanna?” Jan: “No, I do not.” (standing, unplugging his microphone and walking off the set)
