Dr. Conrad Murray: “I Didn’t Kill Michael Jackson”
Michael Jackson’s personal doctor has broken his silence over the King of Pop’s death.
“I did not kill him,” heart specialist Conrad Murray told Britain’s The PEOPLE on Saturday. Dr. Murray denies giving Jackson any drugs that could have lead to th 50-year-old megastar’s death of cardiac arrest in his Los Angeles home June 25.
Murryay claims he is being made a “scapegoat” for the tragedy that has left the music world in mourning.
“I have lost a good friend,” Murray added.
Murray was with MJ when the singer collapsed at his rented mansion as he prepared for his massive comeback tour – a 50-night marathon at London’s O2 arena. He then mysteriously disappeared for more than 24 hours as Los Angeles Police probbed what happened in the hours leading up to Jackson’s death.
Speaking from his family home in Houston, Texas, he insisted: “I did not give Michael anything that should have led to his death.”
“I do not know anything more than anyone else about what killed Michael – but it wasn’t me.”
The 55-year-old remarked: “It’s human nature to try and find a scapegoat….”
