Miley Cyrus will not be bringing her “Twerk and Pony Show” (Ok, ok so it’s actually called the “Bangerz World Tour”) to the Caribbean island of the Dominican Republic. A public decency commission — which oversees the morality of performing arts in the nation — has banned Miley’s Sept. 13 show on the grounds of vulgarity.
The commission claims it took measures to preventing Cyrus from performing because the “We Can’t Stop” singer “undertakes acts that go against morals and customs, which are punishable by Dominican law.” To be fair, Miley typically opens a show twerking with a “little person” in a catsuit, flanked by a cast of dancers dressed as aliens. Boob-groping, marijuana smoking and sapphic erotica are also staples on the “Bangerz Tour.”
(Insert sarcasm here…)
We hardly see the vulgarity in that.
