DJ AM died of accidental acute intoxication, the New York City Medical Examiner’s Office said Tuesday.

The celebrity spinner, real name was Adam Goldstein, was found dead in his apartment in New York City’s SoHo neighborhood at approximately 5:20PM on Aug. 28. After a worried friend called 911, paramedics broke down the door to find the shirtless DJ irresponsive in his bed. A crack pipe and prescription pill bottles were discovered scattered around the apartment.

A toxicology report released Tuesday shows the 36-year-old had a lethal cocktail cocaine, OxyContin, Benadryl and another drug used to cut cocaine in his system.

Last week, MTV announced that it will proceed with plans to air Gone Too Far, a drug-intervention reality show starring the late star.
