Disney Announces ‘Cars,’ ‘Incredibles’ Sequels, Unnamed Live-Action Fairy Tales

We’re getting a whole lot more Disney and Pixar movies in the future.

These new films come in two basic forms: sequels to movies already made, like Cars and The Incredibles, and live-action adaptations of fairy tales we’ve come to know and become obsessed with. Despite the relative lack of originality perceived in these film announcements, there’s no doubt that these movies are long-anticipated, and will cause people to flock to movie theatres on release dates!

Here’s the lineup of Disney and/or Pixar films that you can look forward to in the next few years.

First, The Good Dinosaur will premiere in November 2015, with Finding Dory following in June 2016. Cars 3 will follow a year later in June 2017, while Coco will premiere in November 2017.

Sadly, Toy Story 4 has been pushed back to a June 2018 release date, and The Incredibles 2 rounds out the set, with a June 21, 2019 release date.

But the most exciting part of these announcements is, in my opinion, the four as-yet unnamed live-action fairy tales Disney will release.

These four films will be released on December 22, 2017, November 2, 2018, March 29, 2019, and November 8, 2019. Speculation places Disney’s Genie project front and center, especially given the popularity of the movie, Robin Williams’ enduring legacy, and the current Broadway musical.

Following that movie will probably come an Aladdin follow-up movie, and if my estimations are correct, The Little Mermaid and Sword in the Stone will follow.

However, I have one question: where the heck is Frozen 2?!
