“Nobody puts Baby in a corner!” ”Dirty Dancing,” the stageplay of the 1987 cult classic, will make its U.S. premiere in Chicago in 2008. The musical, officially called ”Dirty Dancing - The Classic Story on Stage,” will open Sept. 2 at Chicago’s Cadillac Palace Theatre.

”We hope that American audiences will be as eager to see the show as audiences throughout the rest of the world have been,” executive Producer Kevin Jacobsen said in a statement.
