“Desperate Housewives” Spinoff Featuring Lily Tomlin Kathryn Joosten
This could be fun….
Lily Tomlin and Kathryn Joosten — who play sneaky sisters Roberta and Karen McCluskey on the television comedy Desperate Housewives are in talks to star for their own spinoff show on ABC.
The pair – who both turn 70 this year — could find themselves with a new sitcom patterned after TV’s beloved ’80s classic, The Golden Girls, about four middle-aged women sharing living together in Miami.
A production source says the network hopes to get Desperate creator March Cherry involved: “Cherry clearly knows how to write for these two actresses. And we would love to have him involved.”

Interesting is the fact that Lily Tomlin took over Joosten’s position on “The West Wing” after Joosten’s character (Mrs. Landingham) was killed in a car accident.
