The women of Wisteria Lane prepare for battle as Amazonian warriors in two newly-released promotional images supporting the forthcoming sixth season of ABC’s Desperate Housewives.

In the latest promo pics released, the five main characters – Bree, Gabrielle, Susan, Katherine and Lynette – pose in grey silk evening gowns atop a pile of red apples of temptation.

The new season begins in September.
