Derrick Rose Returns From Knee Injury Tonight To Face The Magic

Derrick Rose has been plagued with injuries perhaps more than anyone else throughout his career. However, that has not stopped him from being one of the top play makers in the NBA and he will finally make his return to the court tonight.

Rose was injured in the early part of the season and has not played for the Chicago Bulls for the past 20 games. He is set to make his return tonight, although his minutes will likely be limited.

There is nothing worse than coming back from an injury too soon or pushing yourself too hard upon returning, which is much of the reason that it has taken him this long to return.

Derrick Rose will be available and if things go well at the shoot-around, he will get significant playing time, but of course he will not be at the same level that he is used to playing. Coach Thibodeau said he expects him to play about 20 minutes and hopes to have him playing in Miami as well.

The Chicago Bulls are currently sitting at the third spot in the Eastern Conference and will need Rose to show up big time if they are to make the deep run in the playoffs that fans are hoping for. The Atlanta Hawks are the top ranked team followed by Lebron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Rose has had knee problems throughout his NBA career including a torn ACL in 2012, a torn medial meniscus in his right knee in 2013, and receiving the same injury earlier this year.

Prior to his last injury, Derrick Rose, the former MVP was averaging 18.4 points, 5.0 assists and 3.1 rebounds per game. Aaron Brooks has stepped up in his absence, although at 6 foot, he will certainly have a hard time guarding the best point guards in the conference such as John Wall, Kyrie Irving, and Jeff Teague.

Tell US: How much of an impact will Derrick Rose be able to make upon initially returning to the court? Will the Bulls go far in the playoffs?
