Denver Police Weren’t ‘Hatin’ On 4/20, But They Did Ask Stoners For A Favor

Denver Police and 4 20 rally

In celebration of 4/20 the city of Denver held a two-day rally in celebration of marijuana. With pot legalized in the state, the Denver police decided to joke about pot smokers and their joint rolling ways.

In a tweet sent out on April 20, the Denver Police wrote: We see you rollin, but we ain’t hatin’ ???? HAHA… Seriously though, #Denver, please remember to #ConsumeResponsibly this 4/20 weekend.”

Here’s the original tweet:

While you can purchase marijuana for recreational purposes in Colorado, you are still not allowed to smoke your mary jane in public.

The 4/20 rally was attended by more than 125,000 happy stoners. 160 citations were issued by police who found marijuana smokers partaking in public spaces.

Along with the message shown above, the Denver police also tweeted that they “prefer not to be buzzkills” and advised users to “make safety a priority.”

No serious crimes were committed and overall the Denver police were NOT buzzkills and they were not really “hatin'” on anyone at the 4/20 rally.
