Most women would leap at the chance to piss off the ex…Denise Richards, has turned down an offer to appear on the first new episode of Two and a Half Men, the CBS sitcom from which her ex-husband Charlie Sheen was fired in March.
Sheen was replaced by former That ’70s Show star Ashton Kutcher following a bitter war of words with Men producer Chuck Lorre. Production insiders say producers offered Richards a guest role on next month’s season opener — which opens with a funeral for Sheen’s character, Charlie Harper, killed in a gruesome Paris subway accident — think of it as a final “Up Yours” to Carlos. Denise declined the role, however, telling friends that “she would never hear the end of it from Charlie” if she guest-starred on his old show.
Richards married Sheen in 2002; the couple had two daughters together before calling it quits with a nasty divorce in 2006. Denise released audiotape of Charlie hurling racial slurs at her and poking fun at her cancer-stricken mother. The actress also accused her ex of assaulting her and threatening her life during an altercation at the Los Angeles home in Dec. 2005.
