It’s Demi to the rescue. Actress Demi Moore is being hailed a hero after the Striptease star used the power of Twitter to help save the life of a woman who was thinking about killing herself.

Demi grew concerned for the well-being of the 48-year-old woman after receiving a note detailing how she would commit suicide.

The actress, 46, immediately replied, “Hope you are joking,” sharing the scenario with her nearly 400,000 followers on Twitter.

Los Angeles Police went to the aid of the local woman after being tipped off by a person in Dallas who had been reading tweets on the social networking site, The Associated Press reported pn Friday.

The woman was taken to a local hospital for a psychiatric evaluation.
