In an interview with MTV News Thursday, Disney star Demi Lovato insisted that she is not dating Trace Cyrus, the 20-year-old brother of Demi’s frenemy Miley Cyrus.

“I’m single! Yeah, I’m definitely single,” she told MTV News. When asked who she would love to date, she left the answer open: “I can’t say!

Despite Demi’s denial, celebrity informants at The Globe claim that the 16-year-old is not only dating the Metro Station guitarist, but she’s doing so to the displeasure of his famous sister.

“Miley hasn’t said anything to Demi’s face, but behind her back she’s telling people that she doesn’t like the relationship one bit,” a spywitness spilled on the pages of the tab this week. “I think she’ a little jealous of the special bond between the two and feels left out,” says the source, who adds, “She’s also mad because she thinks Demi is somehow horning in on the family.”
