David Hasselhoff Takes On Hitler, Dinosaurs, And The 80’s In Outrageous ‘True Survivor’ Music Video [Watch]

David Hasselhoff has surprised just about everyone in the world when he debuted his latest music video for a song called “True Survivor.” The video displays him in a battle with just about anything you could imagine and it is quite the scene.

It’s as if he has not aged at all when he dons a mullet and sings the silly lyrics to accompany the action sequences that look like they came straight out of an 80’s movie.

The video is done with extremely outdated graphics and gives viewers a retro feel from something that you may have seen The Hoff in back when he was actually popular. For better or worse depending on how you look at it, the actor has had a side career as a musician for a number of years.

In case you’re interested in a wild music video featuring The Hoff singing “Hooked On A Feeling,” check this one out:

David Hasselhoff’s music video provides the soundtrack for the Kickstarter-funded 30-minute short film Kung Fury.¬†According to its Kickstarter description, the film is an over-the-top action comedy written and directed by David Sandberg. It will feature¬†arcade-robots, dinosaurs, nazis, Vikings, Norse gods, mutants and a super Kung fu-cop called Kung Fury, all wrapped up in an 80s style action packed adventure.”

That sounds like quite a film and certainly nothing like we have ever seen before. The real question is, will Hasselhoff have a role in the film as well? He has had some small roles and has portrayed himself in film in recent years, but it has been quite some time since he took a starring role in a film, even if it is just a short film.

He is set to star in Ted 2 this summer, the latest comedy from Seth McFarlane and most recently appeared in Stretch. However, most fans still remember him for his iconic roles in Knight Rider and Baywatch.

David Hasselhoff may not have had any major roles in recent years, but he has remained a pop culture icon for decades and this latest music video proves to everyone that he still has it. The short film Kung Fury is set to debut on YouTube on May 28th.
