What a fantastic performance! I played it several times after TIVO recorded it. I cannot imagine a better choice or a better rendition for these troubled times. I know John Lennon wrote this ballad to celebrate the end of the Vietnam war, but it is timely now.

That was beautiful! I loved it! It is so exciting to see David Cook everywhere. He deserves it though since he is doing a great job.

Very moving! Cook at his best takes great songs, both his own and others’, and tears our hearts out with them. John Lennon would be very proud.

Cook’s singing on Happy Xmas brought tears to my eyes…ok, I’m emotional to begin with, but really, David Cook is a wonderful singer and performer and he was GREAT last night. Just beautiful.

David Cook did an absolutely amazing and moving rendition of Lennon’s Happy Christmas. His voice was wonderful and he looked very comfy playing. I don’t know why people suppose that exposure on American Idol is negative – it has brought some really good voices to the fore and some great talents – like David Cook!! Happy Christmas Everyone!

As always, David Cook was electrifying. Loved his spin on this great Lennon Christmas song. His guitar player, Neal, was also brilliant. Not only does David Cook have the voice, he definitely has the charisma. Really enjoyed this performance.

While I’m not a fan of American Idol, I admit that the more I see this guy the more I can’t believe he was spawned from that crappy show. He did Lennon proud with his rendition of his song.
