Authorities are linking the death of actor David Carradine to a sex game gone wrong.

The Kung Fu star — who more recently appeared in the Kill Bill film series — may have died after an auto-erotic asphyxiation game went wrong, according to police in Bangkok.

The 72-year-old actor was found dead by a maid in a hotel room on Thursday. He was discovered hanging naked in a wardrobe with ropes tied around his neck and genitals.

Friends and family of the star have been quick to dismiss early speculation that Carradine had taken his own life.

“The two ropes were tied together. It is unclear whether he committed suicide or not or he died of suffocation or heart failure due to an orgasm,” Thai Police Lt. Gen. Worapong Chrewprecha told reporters late yesterday.

He added that production crew told police that Carradine had been drinking beer “from morning until evening the day before he was found dead.”
