Professional thrill-seeker David Blaine set a new world record for breath holding on Oprah on Wednesday.

During this morning’s live broadcast, the endurance artist was submerged in a water-filled tank, where he managed to hold his breath for seventeen minutes and four seconds, breaking the previous world record of sixteen minutes and thirty-two seconds.
