A theater in Dublin, Ireland is producing a campy musical based on the love affair of celebrity twosome David and Victoria Beckham.
Described as a “wild comedy romp,” Macbecks pokes fun at the former Spice Girl and her soccer star husband by using plot bits from several classic works by William Shakespeare:
“We’re very excited by the script,” says Ronan Smith of Long Road Productions. “It borrows from Shakespeare’s Macbeth, King Lear and Romeo & Juliet.”
Macbecks opens January 2009.
