Nicole Kidman wants soccerstar David Beckham to appear in her new movie, Australia, as a “hunky laborer,” according to reports.

The actress watched Beckham play for his team LA Galaxy recently and was impressed with his muscular physique.

“Nicole thinks David would be perfect to play a labourer in the film, and director Baz Luhrmann agrees.”

“It would only be a small part and Nicole is hoping David might consider it.”

Australia is a World War II musical epic, in which Nicole stars as an English aristocrat who falls in love with a rugged Australian, played by Hugh Jackman.
