David Archuleta has announced the dates for his first solo U.S. tour.

“Archie,” as he is affectionately known to his legion of teen fans, will kick off his first headlining tour of the U.S. since losing the seventh American Idol to crooner David Cook in Virginia Beach, Virginia on February 24.

Since its release in November, David’s self-titled debut album has gone gold, selling more than 500,000 copies.
