David Archuleta is officially a signed recording artist with an album headed to a Target Store near you. The seventeen year old American Idol 7 runner-up has inked a record deal with 19 Recordings/Jive Records, the same label winner David Cook signed to last week.

“Signing a record contract with 19 Recordings/Jive Records is truly a dream come true,” David said in a statement Thursday. “I’m really excited to start working on everything.”
