Jeff Archuleta-psychotic stage dad or loving father who just can’t catch a break? Star Magazine is putting it’s money on the latter as a new report from the celebrity weekly reveals the Mormon dad of American Idol 7 finalist David Archuleta was fasely accused of sexually abusing one his five children and a niece following a series of family feuds with his in-laws in 2002.

In April 2002, Jeff informed several members of his wife Lupe’s family, who had been living with the Archuletas for approximately nine months, that they could no longer stay at his Sandy, Utah home.

At that point, a Sandy police source tells Star, “the in-law claimed Jeff had been sexually abusing one of his own children and the in-law’s child for the last three months.”

Jeff Archuleta was not arrested, and a local District Attorney declined to prosecute the case, after an investigation by the Department of Child And Family Services found the Archuleta in-law had attempted to bribe the alleged victims into lying to the authorities.

“It came out that the in-law had promised Barbie dolls to the two alleged victims if they backed up the false claim,” a Sandy Police Department spy tells Star.
