I think this was perfect for the song and for David. It showed his ability to portray a song and allow the audience to really feel its meaning. He actually has a good start to some acting abilities!! Loved it!!

This young man has the goods – he is a superior vocalist, has tons of natural charisma, and great musicianship. David commands your eye in this video, and your attention in every frame. In addition, he is that increasingly rare artist who delivers live. He’s on his way to great success, and his debut album in November will be on my must have’s for the fall.

This video is the PERFECT compliment to the song. It appeals to both David’s younger fans, as well as those not in the teen or tween set. This young man is the total package – great voice, great personality, great looks and an ability to channel his emotions into performances of such high intensity they leave you astounded. Keep dreaming big, David Archuleta.. you’ve got your foot in the door, and this video will open it up to a much wider audience than you could ever have imagined. Nono- not sure what makes you think these kids are “upper class”. He hangs out with guys and girls probably a lot like this- pretty normal looking kids to me. In fact when he went home before tour, he and his friends (guys and girls) went to lake powell on a house boat. He is a great kid and singing about a crush fits him perfectly. It is a pretty innocent emotion, and the video portrayed it perfectly. Just my opinion.

The music video is so unrealistic and pretentious. David does not hang out with those types of people in the video – blondes and upper-class teens. He is the type that hangs out with regular teen boys who talk about games, what’s cool with the dudes, etc. Archuleta did not write that song so the music video does not fit him at all. He is merely a singer of somebody else’s written song. So a music video featuring him as a singer and another boy having a crush with a girl is more fitting. The video is trying hard to make him look like a teen sex idol at its beginning phase.
