Award-winning rock band Daughtry has re-recorded Foreigner’s 1977 “Feels Like the First Time” as the theme song for CNN’s League of First Time Voters initiative.

“We strongly believe it doesn’t matter who you vote for, as long as you vote,” says lead singer Chris Daughtry.

“Daughtry’s version of the song is very cool and has more than captured the essence of the original,” says Foreigner’s Mick Jones. “I am delighted that the song will be used in this critical iniative.”
The music video will premiere on Campbell Brown: Election Center Monday night at 8 p.m. ET.

Daughtry’s cover of “Feels Like The First Time” will appear on the band’s deluxe version of its debut album, Daughtry Deluxe, available September 9th.
