Danny Devito denies that he showed up drunk for an interview on a local Philadelphia morning show this week, where he was promoting his raunchy F/X comedy, It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia.

During the interview, the Twins star repeatedly burped, behaved oddly, and finally prompted a female reporter to ask him if he was drunk after he made several lewd comments toward her.

In a statement to RadarOnline on Thursday, Danny denied being sloshed on set — the star says he was simply “acting” and trying to make the interview “fun.”

In 2006, a completely hammered Danny Devito appeared on The View after a night of downing Limoncello with George Clooney in New York City.
