Meet Kylie Minogue’s new nephew: Ethan Edward!

Kylie’s younger sister Dannii Minogue — quite the big name in the UK as one of the star’s of Simon Cowell’s The X-Factor — has bucked the celebrity trend of selling baby photos to the highest bidder by sharing the world’s first snap of her newborn son on Twitter.

Minogue, 38, unexpectedly posted the shot of herself, model beau Kris Smith, and baby Ethan on the micro-blogging site Thursday, just four days after giving birth in her hometown of Melbourne. The tot — the first child for both Kris and Dannii — locked peacefully adrift as he slept bundled up in tiny jeans, bootees, and a woolly hat.

“Hey everyone thanks for all your wishes, we are loving baby Ethan and Kris is the best dad in the world. X,” the proud mama Tweeted.

Smith posted a closeup shot of Ethan on his own Twitter page a short time later: “Hey guys first look at our beautiful Ethan, he is the most adorable little man, looks like his amazing mum.”
