“Dancing With The Stars” Pros Slam Lacey Schwimmer Cheryl Burke Weight Gain

10

Dancing With the Stars professionals Cheryl Burke and Lacey Schwimmer are facing new criticism over their buzzed-about “weight gain,” and surprisingly this time the harsh tongue-lashing over the scale-tipping isn’t coming from bloggers but from the girls’ fellow DWTS hoffers.

”[People] look at this show to be inspired and think, ‘If I just work hard enough, I can look like that,” pro Louis Van Amstel says in the new issue TV Guide. “If they watch someone who’s dancing her butt off and she’s still heavy, they can be discouraged. You have to take that responsibility.”

“If you want to gain weight, it’s your prerogative,” he added. “We all put on weight because there was no summer tour. But you have to deal with the consequences.”

Popular DWTS pro Maksim Chmerkovskiy also slapped Cheryl and Lacey’s hand over their weight in the latest issue of the entertainment mag.

“When I first saw these women this season, I said, ‘Guys, you know the camera adds 10 pounds. You have to do something about this.’”

What is the world coming to when women who couldn’t be more than a size 9 are considered overweight? Cheryl and Lacey look absolutely fine. Anyone who thinks otherwise should consider cleaning their glasses.

I agree Cheryl is a little bigger than previous seasons but they both look fantastic. Plus, the amount of physical exercise they do must keep them down at their "natural" weight.

I think that she looks great and that all this buzz surrounding her needs to stop. She is constantly exercising and I think looks great. Does America want to continue to cloud Young American's minds to think that their own size isn't beautiful and one has to be a size 0 to be considered beautiful?

How funny these two male dancers are.

Although their dancing are good, none of these two (Louis or Maksim) ever became DWTS champion. The total number of viewers are approximately 18 to 20 million.

How many of these viewers are size zero?

Majority are usually size 8 to 14. Tne perception of these two male dancers that people are thinking if these two ladies are dancing and they're not losing weight… But that's TUNNEL VISION and one-track mind?

The other perception could be that they're INSPIRING , inspite of a little gain in weight, they still can DANCE GREAT!!!!! . That's inspiring to a lot who are not size zero.

I'd like to say Van Amstel look thin but does that make him handsome or sexy, he looks like a dried-up scarecrow, therefore his vital parts are not JUICY.

As for Masksim who has little faith in winning when he left last Season 6 because women couldn't win at DWTS, look what happened — a woman won..KRISTI…

Fortunately these two ladies whom they are criticizing are still dancing, these two pro males are not.

GO CHERYL AND LACEY…Life isn't always a party, so we might as well dance whatever weight we are in.

    Thanks

Lacey looks great – incredible actually. It's completely ridiculous for him to say these things.

I should be so lucky to look like these lady's and I might add they sure look better than Susan who looks sick. This is why women have a poor body image. Fans don't watch to see who has gained some weight we watch because of the dancing!!!

I think these two ladies look great they are pros and do a wonderful job of dancing…the guys must be jealous…they need to look as good as Cheryl and Lacey do and then maybe they could talk…talk like this is what gives our youths the lower self esteem that they have today…that is why so many of our youths are dieting and starving themselves today. Even if Cheryl and Lacey were overweight what gives these two jerks the right to put them down…it is none of thier business how much these two wonderful dancers weigh…who died and made them God! Hang in thier ladies and keep doing a great job…you are both beautiful…

Those two men should grow a brain- one between them would be more than they have now. Heavy / big is not bad per se. Football players are overweight and very large. As long as you can do what you want to do in life and love the way you look and feel- that's the goal- mind, body, and spirit. Moreover, there are millions of people who think voluptuous is breathtaking and beautiful. Disappointed!

I think both of them look great! They are two of the prettiest and cutest girls I have ever seen! Anybody who thinks otherwise should just SHUT UP!

I just googled it because I noticed Lacey was wearing a lot of loose clothing and looked big. There is no question she is hot, but she is paid to keep up an appearance. Max is absolutely right. She mocks Kyle about eating right and working out. She needs to practice what she preaches first. I don’t know her finances and I hear the DWTS dancers are paid only $5000 per week + expenses. But she must do a better job staying fit as a dancer. SHE IS A DANCER! Dancers are to be agile, fit, and most of all attractive. It is the career she has chosen. If you don’t watch your weight as a dancer, it makes it hard on your knees. It isn’t about voluptuous and beautiful, it about appearance as a dancer. Otherwise, choose another field. I still love you Lacey, just more of you lately.

K, you know what, these girls are hot. And this is coming from a straight girl. Lacey is the most beautiful girl in the world, and she DOES NOT have to loose weight. Seriously, the guys are probably just jealous of her sexiness ; )

What do you think?
