Dance Drama “Stomps” The Box Office For the Second Week

“Stomp the Yard,” the urban dance drama about a college student who joins a stepping competition to earn the affections of a young woman, narrowly held on to the top box office spot for the second weekend in a row. The film earned $13.3 million.

Ben Stiller’s “Night at the Museum” remained in second place bringing in $13 million.

Golden Globe Award Winner “Dreamgirls” opened in the third place for the first time racking in $8.7 million.

“The Hitcher,” a horror film remake, opened at a disappointing Number Four-opening with $8.2 million.

“The Pursuit of Happyness” dropped to the Number Five spot, bringing it’s total international revenue to more than $160 million.
