Dan Quayle “Dancing With The Stars” Invitation Turned Down

A rep for former Vice-President Dan Quayle says the 61-year-old politician will not be doing the Rumba- or any other ballroom dancing-on the seventh season of Dancing With The Stars this Fall.
While Quayle was approached about participating on the ABC series, spokesman Craig Whitney says it was invitation Quayle “immediately” declined.
“I can tell you that he is not doing the show…There was contact (made), … there was interest in having him be on the show,” Whitney said. “(But) it’s not like he said he was going to do it.”
“Is he a big dancer? No,” Whitney says. “There’s been quite a bit made of nothing, to be honest.”
The celebrity cast for the seventh season of DWTS, premiering Sept. 22 on ABC, will be announced Aug. 25 on Good Morning America.
