Cyndi Lauper is putting her “True Colors” on paper. The pop icon rose to prominence with her 1983 debut album, She’s So Unusual.
Lauper has inked a deal with Atria Books and will dish the deets on her trailblazing career in a self-titled tome due to arrive on booksellers’ shelves this fall, The Washington Post said Monday.
Cyndi Lauper will cover the “Time After Time” singer’s journey from a troubled childhood on the gritty streets of Brooklyn to the “ups and downs” that followed her success of the pop charts.
Lauper recently inked a deal to appear in a reality docusoap set for debut on WEtv later this year.Cyndi â€” who was a contender on Donald Trump’s Celebrity Apprentice in 2010 â€” has teamed up with that show’s producer, TV mogul Mark Burnett, to launch Cyndi. The series will follow the life of the outspoken singer and gay rights activist as she juggles life as a musician, mom, wife, Broadway composer and philanthropist.
