“CSI” Is The World’s Most-Watched TV Show
We wonder if Laurence Fishburne knew that when decided to depart his role as forensic expert/crime-solver Raymond Langston — after a two-and-a-half season run on television’s forensic crime hit CSI: Crime Scene Investigation — he was leaving the most popular TV show in the world?
According to global ratings stats collected by Eurodata TV Worldwide, the small screen smash has been ranked the most-watched program across five of the seven continents. It is fourth time in the last six years that the crime drama has won the distinction. CSI is also the world’s No. 1 TV franchise: Its spin-offs CSI: Miami and CSI: NY (which recently survived cancellation rumors) are also global successes.
CSI recently wrapped up its 11th season.
