Playboy readers are going “Mad” over TV star Crista Flanagan!
The actress — who plays scatterbrained switchboard operator Lois Sadler on the hit AMC series Mad Men — has disrobed for an eight-page pictorial on the pages of the August issue of the iconic men’s magazine.
Drawing inspiration from Crista’s on-screen alter ego, photographers set up a 1960s-inspired shoot, which paid tribute to her TV series, as well as the style, dress, and makeup of the era. Playboy decided to recreate two covers from past issues published in the sixties. The Mad Men funny girl undressed for replications of the magazine’s April 1969 cover with Sharon Kristie and for their November 1960 cover with Toni Lacey.
“I got there and they had a little area for my wardrobe, and I felt okay when I walked in and saw all the beautiful shoes,” Crista said to Playboy in an interview for the magazine.
Playboy August 2010 is on newsstands now.
