Courtney Love woke up to a swarm of Los Angeles Police officers on her doorstep June 7th after law enforcement received a call claiming the forty-three year old singer had threatened to kill herself.

According to The National Enquirer, Courtney was asleep in her home on the border of Beverly Hills and West Hollywood when her house servant was awakened in the middle of the night by loud banging. She answered the front door and was shocked to see 10 police officers standing there.

“An officer held up a ‘5150 order,’ a police form which allows them to haul someone off to a psychiatric ward,” an Enquirer insider says.

“The house servant went up to Courtney’s room and woke her. Courtney was bleary-eyed and very scared when she saw all the officers….I spoke to her, and claims she is suicidal are way off the mark,” says one Love spy, who believes the hoax is the work of a secret stalker out to sabatoge the eccentric star’s life.

Earlier this year, celebrity tabloids claimed an unidentified culprit had broken into Courtney’s LA home and stole the ashes of her late husband Kurt Cobain. Ironically, the Nirvana rocker committed suicide with a shotgun blast to the head in 1994.
