Courtney Love Elle Style Awards “Woman Of The Year”
If Courtney Love is “Woman of the Year,” then we have some serious work to do, ladies.
After a year of online rants and fashion disasters, former Hole star Courtney Love was hailed with the highest honor at H&M’s 2009 Elle Style Awards in London Monday night.
In her acceptance speech, the grunge rocker told the Elle audience that she is a changed woman, saying: “I am sick of being a vulgar rock star. ‘This is a turning point. All the crap I’ve gone through…bring some honour into this world.”
That’s funny because, considering Courtney already kicked year off with controversy. Last month, Courtney faced claims of bigotry after posting a blog accusing Jewish executives in the music industry of profiting from the suicide of husband, Nirvana star Kurt Cobain.
